On Sunday, May 21 at 1pm, The Castro CBD and the Castro Merchants Association will be co-hosting a birthday celebration on the lower level of Harvey Milk Plaza, after which attendees will march down Castro Street to the former site of Harvey’s shop, Castro Camera, located at 575 Castro Street. Music will be provided by the LGBT Freedom Band. Speakers at the birthday event will include Sen. Mark Leno, District 8 Supervisor Jeff Sheehy, and City College Trustee Rafael Mandelman. The Historic F-Line streetcar #1051, which has been dedicated to Harvey Milk, will also be parked and open for touring at the Jane Warner Plaza.
Castro Merchants and MOJO at QBar present Miss Juanita MORE!, Robin Simmons, Elaine Denham and Hollywood Texas for this launch event. Meet-and-greet with participating Windows for Harvey 2017 artists from 9-10pm. A portion of the door will benefit the artists responsible for the artwork at QBar.
